Rep. Paul Ryan Lashes Out at Obama & Democrats For Lying About GOP Medicare Plan

Rep. Paul Ryan lashed out at Obama and democrats this morning for lying about the GOP budget plan to save welfare.

Democrats even dumped grandma off a cliff in an outrageous ad to scare seniors about GOP budget plan.

This morning Paul Ryan pushed back agains the democrat lies.
The Hill reported:

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) acknowledged Wednesday that his Medicare plan played a role in Republicans’ defeat in Tuesday’s special election, blaming “demagoguery” of his budget for the loss.

Ryan, the chairman of the House Budget Committee, lashed out at Democrats, whom he said had distorted his 2012 budget proposal to their political benefit in the special election in New York’s 26th congressional district.

“There is a Medicare story to be told here … and it’s that the president and his party have decided to shamelessly distort and demagogue Medicare,” Ryan said on MSNBC, calling it a “Mediscare” campaign led by President Obama and Democrats in Congress.

Democrat Kathy Hochul scored an upset victory to succeed former Rep. Chris Lee (R) in the seat, which had largely been held by Republicans for decades. The race had become something of a referendum on House Republicans’ budget, including Ryan’s controversial Medicare proposal, which would transform the entitlement program into a voucher-based system for Americans under the age of 55.

“I think that’s a big part of it,” Ryan said of the role Medicare played in the race. “Having the ability to scare seniors is powerful…”

“…I personally don’t think it will work,” he said. “With 15 or 18 months to go, the facts will get out.”
