The students have left the school.
They cut classes and are marching to the Wisconsin State Capitol.
Madison.com reported:
Hundreds of students at multiple Madison middle and high schools were reportedly walking out of class Thursday to participate in protests at the State Capitol.
As many as 800 to 1,000 West High School students were gathering for a march to the Capitol around 10 a.m., senior Jacob Fiksel said.
Fiksel said “tensions are really high.”
“People are really upset that the Republican senators passed this bill illegally — they did not give 24 hours notice,” Fiksel said. “We feel like it’s a slap in the face.”
One report says 3/4’s of the school walked out.
