Far Left Protesters Cost Wisconsin Taxpayers At Least $5.5 Million for Security

Securing the Wisconsin Capitol from far left protesters cost the Wisconsin taxpayer millions.
The fact that they camped out in the building didn’t help.

Leftists cost the state of Wisconsin $5.5 million in security costs.
JS Online reported:

It cost at least $2.23 million to bring Wisconsin State Patrol officers to the state Capitol to provide security during weeks of protest, bringing the total security bill to nearly $5.5 million.

The costs from the Wisconsin State Patrol include actual costs between Feb. 11 and March 5, as well as estimated costs from March 6 through March 10.

Hundreds of troopers were dispatched to the Capitol during the protests.

The $2.23 million is on top of an estimated $3.2 million in wages, overtime, mileage, food and lodging that was claimed by officers from law enforcement agencies all over the state who were asked by the state to assist in providing security at the Capitol.

The state Department of Administration is still in the midst of calculating the total bill, which is at $5.5 million. The bill is expected to go higher as more agencies submit bills and agencies that already did make more claims.
