Snowmagedon 2011: Missouri Interstate 70 Shut Down From Kansas City to St. Louis

It must be global warming.

I took this photo of the snow plows on Highway 40-61 in St. Louis early this afternoon.

Got milk?

The milk aisle at the local Schnucks grocery store took a heavy hit before the snow ever made it to Missouri.

Interstate 70 was closed today from Kansas City to St. Louis.

Interstate 70 has been closed to Interstate 470 in eastern Jackson County all the way to St. Louis, officials with the Missouri Department of Transportation confirmed about 4:30 p.m.

The roadway is impassible because of blowing snow, officials said.

In the Kansas City area, multiple wrecks have been reported on numerous roadways and interstates. Even a snow plow was reported to be stuck.

Interstate 40-61 going east outside of St. Louis was down to one lane.
