Missouri Blogger Michelle Moore Needs Your Help and Your Prayers

A Date With Destiny
Local St. Louis blogger Michelle Moore at A Traditional Life Lived talked about her degenerative kidney disease in a video she produced in 2009. Michelle has 10% function of one kidney and 50% function of the other kidney.

Michelle shared her fears and concerns about socialized health care in the video:

Michlle found out last month that her disease had progressed over the past two years. Michelle will start dialysis this month and desperately needs a kidney transplant.

Today Michelle sent out this email:

Hey guys,

I think all of you on this list are aware of my kidney disease and know I am readying to start dialysis. I now have a date for testing and class for kidney transplant and am able to solicit for donors. I am only asking you to please help me spread the word. I have written about it here: http://www.atraditionallifelived.com/2011/02/kideny-update-no-bikini-for-youand.html and tweeted about it here: http://twitter.com/Michelle_Moore If you could link to/repost/retweet these things for me I would be forever grateful. To be able to reach beyond my own audience obviously increases my odds of coming up with a living donor. If I have to go on “the list” there is a good chance I will remain there for 3 or more years.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BEING TESTED FOR DONATING YOUR KIDNEY TO ME PLEASE CALL 314-362-5365 OR 800-633-9906 OPTION 2 BEFORE APRIL 25TH.

Thanks in advance for helping to get the word out-feel free to pass this information on to anyone you think would be willing to help. I can’t tell you how much your involvement means to me-it means giving me my life back.

Please help Michelle – pass this on. And, please keep Michelle in your thoughts and prayers.
