The Iranian Parliament released a statement today in support of the Egyptian uprising. They also attacked the Zionist regime.
Fars News reported:
The Iranian legislators in a statement on Tuesday announced their strong support for the Egyptian nation’s uprising and movement against the tyranny of the country’s rulers.
The statement, signed by 214 parliamentarians, focused on many historical common points shared by the two Iranian and Egyptian nations and stated that the support of the parliament for the revolution in Egypt was a spiritual one.
The parliamentarians also condemned the efforts by certain western countries as well as the Zionist regime to exhaust and diminish the uprising and separate it from the Islamic values.
Emboldened by the recent popular revolution in Tunisia, which put an end to the 23-year-long reign of the country’s President Zine El Abidin Ben Ali, Egyptians have marched in several cities since last Tuesday to bring an end to Hosni Mubarak’s three-decade rule.
Supreme Leader’s Advisor for Military Affairs Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi said Mubarak will experience the Shah’s destiny.
