Get Your Pets… Ayatollah Khamenei Unveils Holy Qur’anic Rug


Ayatollah Khamenei unveiled the Holy Koranic carpet today in Iran.
Islamic Republic News Agency reported:

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei unveiled here on Monday a precious Qur’anic carpet woven in Tabriz, East Azarbaijan province.

The carpet feature 30 chapters of the holy book in 76 two-side pages,

Tabrizi artists have woven the carpet under the supervision of the Carpet Faculty of Tabriz Islamic Arts University within six years.

Ayatollah Khamenei described the carpet as an eternal work and great legacy and said that the artwork will keep the names of the weavers as well as the art alive for centuries.

He further added that the carpet will be donated to the museum of Astan-e Qods Razavi Foundation to maintain it for use by the posterity.

He also said that the spirit of Islamic art makes it distinct from non-Islamic art. Art is a human phenomenon inspired by spirituality.

Islamic art cannot be created by issuing orders; rather when the spirit and viewpoint of the artist is rectified, an Islamic artwork will be created, the Supreme Leader concluded.
