A San Francisco poll worker stole up to 75 ballots and took off.
Police know the poll workers name.
The Mercury News reported:
The director of elections in San Francisco says a polling inspector made off with up to 75 ballots, a voting roster and other election materials in a bizarre heist.
John Arntz said Tuesday that around 4 p.m. a polling inspector broke into the ballot-counting machine, scooped up the ballots and stole a memory pack that records information from the ballots.
He also stole the cell phone of a teenage poll worker.
Arntz says police and sheriff’s officials know the poll worker’s name and are investigating the theft.
