Worst. President. Ever.
Barack Obama is the worst jobs president since the Great Depression. The Obama-Pelosi economic plan resulted in a cumulative 7.5 million jobs deficit. By every objective measure the democrat’s Trillion dollar stimulus bomb was a complete disaster.
Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi tripled the national deficit last year by nearly a trillion dollars – something unheard of in our nation’s history. They matched that this year.
Since they can’t run on their disastrous record, Barack Obama and the DNC are now resorting to lies about Karl Rove, former RNC Chairman Ed Gillespie and the business leaders at the US Chamber of Commerce to gain votes in the coming election.
They released this attack ad this weekend.
Mediaite reported on the ad:
The DNC has released a new attack ad that one might describe as being almost Rovian. The ad accuses Karl Rove and former RNC head Ed Gillespie (Rachel Maddow thinks he’s still running the RNC) of “stealing our democracy.”
Karl Rove, Ed Gillespie: They’re Bush cronies. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce: They’re shills for big business. And they’re stealing our democracy. Spending millions from secret donors to elect Republicans to do their bidding in Congress. It appears they’ve even taken secret foreign money to influence our elections. It’s incredible: Republicans benefiting from secret foreign money. Tell the Bush crowd and the Chamber of Commerce: Stop stealing our democracy.
Unfortunately, there’s not a lick of truth behind this disgusting attack.
Even The New York Times admitted the ad was completely bogus.
A closer examination shows that there is little evidence that what the chamber does in collecting overseas dues is improper or even unusual, according to both liberal and conservative election-law lawyers and campaign finance documents.
In fact, the controversy over the Chamber of Commerce financing may say more about the Washington spin cycle — where an Internet blog posting can be quickly picked up by like-minded groups and become political fodder for the president himself — than it does about the vagaries of campaign finance.
Horrible.
Of course, the fact that the Obama Administration would openly lie about their opponents to gain votes surprises no one.
Glenn Reynolds has much more on the democrat’s latest attempt to fool the public.
