MSNBC Anchor & Obama Spokesperson Takes On McCain Campaign

Andrea Mitchell, one of the MSNBC hosts working for the Obama Campaign(?), came out and defended Barack Obama for blowing off the wounded troops at Landstuhl Base in Germany last week.
Obama went to work out instead after he found out he could not bring any of his campaign staff with him.

This interview on MSNBC with Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) is an excellent example of just how far in the tank the liberal media is with the Obama Campaign:
(1 minute 58 seconds)

Nice work, Andrea!
Obama staff members finally went on the record with The New York Times and gave their latest explanation. They are now saying that Obama didn’t want to politicize a visit to see the wounded troops:

“So rather than go forward and potentially get caught up in what might have been considered a political controversy of some sort, what we decided was that we not make a visit and instead I would call some of the troops that were there.”

This was the latest version from the Obama camp after the incident last week.
At first the Obama Camp said that the Pentagon forbid him to visit the wounded troops:

The Pentagon “viewed this as a campaign event and therefore they said he should not come,” Axelrod said.

At least Obama isn’t blaming the Pentagon any more.

And, Obama did call the wounded troops after all.

And, he even shook hands with the German Polizei to make up for it.
That should count for something!

Don’t worry Obama.
You don’t need to sweat it as long as there are anchors like Andrea Mitchell…
The media’s got your back, Barack!
