Gadahn, a 32-year-old American from southern California, has been accused by the US of praising the perpetrators of the 9/11 attacks and attending Al Qaeda training camps in Afghanistan and Pakistan’s tribal areas.
Sources told the newspaper that American officials had reportedly shared information with Western media about Gadahn being killed in an air strike on a home at Khushali Torikhel village near Mir Ali town.
The News from Pakistan also had this on the attack:
Local tribesmen, who were kept at bay by hundreds of armed militants from visiting the house until all the bodies, mostly dismembered, were retrieved, said that US spy planes might have taken pictures of the entire rescue operation as well as of the funeral ceremony.
