HORRIBLE VIOLENCE IN BURMA CAUGHT ON TAPE!!

CNN aired video of the junta violently beating the democracy protesters with sticks in Burma yesterday:
(Warning- Horribly Violent)

The junta continues to hunt down democracy protesters in Rangoon. There are reports that they are hauling men from their homes in the middle of the night.

Blogger Ko Hla reported: We heard that 17 trucks full loaded with people left InnSein GTI campus last night in Yangon. We do not know exactly whether those people on the trucks are monks who are forced to change to civilian clothes or the people who are arrested during the protests. Please help us to find out more about it.

NikNayman reported on the defection of a high ranking official from Burma, via Norway Post :

A central member of the military junta in Burma is reportedly interested in seeking political asylum in Norway. The colonel is said to have defected recently, and is now hiding in the jungle among the Karen people.

He said he had defected after refusing to lead his men in an attack on the demonstrating monks.

According to Schilde, the colonel was also in charge of military intelligence in the region north of Rangoon.

If he is granted asylum in Norway, the colonel is willing to share his knowledge of the situation in Burma with the Norwegian authorities, Schilde says.

The UN Ambassador toured the country and held meetings.
He is now flying home to New York.

This handout picture provided by the UNIC shows UN envoy Ibrahim Gambari (L) posing for a picture with detained democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi in Yangon, 02 October 2007. Gambari was preparing a key report on his talks with Myanmar’s ruling generals and Aung San Suu Kyi amid global concern over the violent crackdown on anti-government protests.(AFP/UNIC)

And, here is yesterday’s ridiculous headline by the MSM on Yahoo:

“Monks face tough battle against Myanmar “Bulldog” Ruler”
Ya think?
It looks like there is a clear winner here.

Ibrahim Gambari (L) poses with Myanmar’s Senior General Than Shwe (2L), Vice-Senior General Maung Aye (3L) General Thura Shwe Mann (2R) and Acting Prime Minister Lieutenant General Thein Sein (R) after a meeting in Myammar’s administrative capital Naypyidaw, on 02 October. Gambari kept a low profile Wednesday as he drafted a keenly-awaited report on his talks with Myanmar’s ruling generals and democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi, after returning to Singapore.(AFP/UNIC-HO)
