Fars News reported the latest crazy rant from the regime in Iran:

TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- A high ranking Iranian official warned on Thursday that Israel is seeking to disintegrate Iraq.

Addressing a convention of the university professors of Baseej (mobilized troops) in the northeastern city of Mashhad, Ali Akbar Velayati, the International Affairs Advisor to Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, said, “Since the US invasion of Iraq, Israel has sought to practice influence in Iraq in a bid to disintegrate that country into three separate parts of Kurd, Sunni and Shiite settling regions.”

He said that the US invaded Iraq in an effort to exercise its Greater Middle-East plan, and added, “Israel started the war on Lebanon to annihilate Hezbollah and then attack Syria and Iran, but after its defeat from the Lebanese Hezbollah, all its plans and plots fell flat.”

Velayati underlined that the US seeks to attain its goals in the Middle-East through sowing discord. “They strove to sow discord among Palestinians through the creation of two separate governments in that country in a bid to shatter Palestinians’ unity.”

He further viewed unity and solidarity among Muslims as the best way to confront enemies’ plots, and said that the victory of Islamists in Turkey indicated that the Islamic school of thought is now prevailing in the whole world.
