** Far Out! Re-energized after his hunger strike with Cindy Sheehan, Willie Nelson summoned up enough strength to come and stump for his liberal buddy Claire McCaskill in late August.
But, sadly, poor Willie, didn’t make it far before he was busted for marijuana and hallucinogenic mushroom possession!

Earlier today Willie Nelson was cited for possession of marijuana, less than a month after making a high-profile appearance on behalf of Democrat Claire McCaskill, a candidate in Missouri’s U.S. Senate race.
Nelson’s bus was pulled over in Saint Martin Parish, La., and he and four other passengers were issued misdemeanor citations for drug possession. According to the Associated Press, “approximately 1 1/2 pounds of marijuana and approximately 2/10 of a pound of mushrooms” were found on the bus.
It was only a few weeks ago, while on his bus tour, that Nelson made a stop in Missouri to endorse McCaskill. The Democrat, locked in a tight race with Republican Sen. Jim Talent.
With “approximately 1 1/2 pounds of marijuana and approximately 2/10 of a pound of mushrooms” on the bus…
they weren’t driving, they were flying!
