After a Holiday trip to Hawaii, Cindy Sheehan was off to Europe to spread her message of “peace”. This week she shared her little nuggets of wisdom with the peace activists of Italy. On Wednesday, January 18th, Cindy Sheehan spoke to a gathering of anti-war activists at an event in Rome:
Sheehan expressed the view that the war in Iraq was not only about politics, but that it was a matter of right versus wrong. She called Bush a coward and a criminal. She harkened back to his being an illegitimate President, by stealing the elections in 2000 and again in 2004. He is a war criminal for having started an illegal war. She stated that, “Bush should be impeached, (or resign in disgrace) for his war crimes, spying on citizens and saying that, “the Constitution is just a piece of paper.”
In one of her recent columns, Cindy said that George Bush was “10 times the terrorist that Osama Bin Laden was”:
Even if one accepts this very low guess-ti-mate by George, his policies have been responsible for ten times the 3000 deaths on September 11, 2001. By his own admission, he is ten times the terrorist that Osama ever was. If George says 30,000…who knows what the truthful total is. It fills me with sorrow and hurts my heart to even contemplate the number.
Today Cindy Sheehan wrote that we are at war in Iraq for the profit and that the US is responsible for killing “thousands upon thousands of innocent and unsuspecting humans”:
All through school, we are brainwashed into believing that somehow our leaders are always right and certainly have our best interests at heart when they wave the flag and convince us to hate fellow human beings who stand in the way of making immense profits from war…
…However, a Matriot also knows that when her country is wrong, it can be responsible for murdering thouands upon thousands of innocent and unsuspecting humans. A true Matriot would never drop an atomic bomb or bombs filled with white phosphorous, carpet bomb cities and villages, or control drones from thousands of miles away to kill innocent men, women and children.
