Ruth Bader Ginsburg: Pro-Hobby Lobby Justices Are Sexist

Posted by Jim Hoft on Thursday, July 31, 2014, 10:28 PM

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg accused her fellow justices of being “sexist” after the Hobby Lobby decision. Ginsburg made the accusations during an interview with Katie Couric.

Life News reported:

Apparently the phony “war on women” has made its way to the Supreme Court. Upset by the fact that a majority of the justices on the high court ruled in favor of Hobby Lobby’s religious freedoms, Ruth Bader Ginsburg is now accusing them of being sexist.

In a new interview with pro-abortion media icon Katie Couric, Ginsburg lashes out at her colleagues and claims they have a “blind spot” towards women because they decided that Hobby Lobby should not be forced to pay for drugs that cause abortions for their employees.

Never mind that polls show a majority of women oppose the pro-abortion HHS mandate the Obama administration wanted Hobby Lobby to obey.

Moreover, Ginsburg likens her dissent in the case to the dissent in the Supreme Court decision fostering racial discrimination against minorities. In other words, Ginsburg thinks their purported anti-woman views put the pro-Hobby Lobby justices in the same league as the racist views the Supreme Court fostered well over a century ago.

OBAMA TO PAY ILLEGALS: Offer All You Can Eat Meals, Free Cable TV, Lawyers, Medical & Dental

new facility

The Obama administration will pay Illegal aliens to work at a new ICE detention center that features amenities most poor American families can only dream of: All you can eat meals, a beauty parlor, flat screen TVs with cable, free lawyers, doctors, dentists, a workout gym and more on a 29 acre complex.

ICE proudly showed off to the media on Thursday a renovated detention center for illegal alien families in Karnes City, Texas.

The center, which previously held male illegal aliens being detained by ICE, will be contracted to hold illegal alien families comprised of women and children to help handle the ongoing flood of illegal aliens mostly from Central America crossing the Texas-Mexico border. The federal government contracted with Karnes County which in turn contracts out to The Geo Group to run the facility.

KXAN-TV reported on the Obama administration’s show and tell for the media:

“The amenities do not stop simply at safe. Families will be given a health examination upon arrival along with six sets of fresh clothing for each member. Doctor attention will be available at all times and residents will have access to a dentist. Even the walls of the center have been painted with many colorful characters and pictures as many children are expected to call it home.

““There will be cartoons playing for children and games of that nature,” said Lucero.

“Other amenities include recreational fields, a library, internet access, and a cafeteria which will serve three all-you-can-eat meals a day. Certified teachers will also be on site to provide year-round education and small jobs will also be available paying $3 a day for four hours of work.”

More from KXAN-TV:

“However, pro bono immigration attorney service will be available on-site according to Lucero and those seeking asylum will have an opportunity to see an immigration judge.

“Some other facts about the residential center:

“•Families will be able to move throughout the center freely from 6am to 10pm.

“•Visitors will be allowed from 8am to 8pm.

“•Cable television is available in each 8-person suite.

“•Recreation activities include exercise equipment, a soccer field, basketball court, and volleyball court.

“•A computer lab allows some internet access and email services but restricts social media.”

My San Antonio reported the facility will also have a hair salon and flat screen TVs for the illegal aliens.

Gateway Pundit reported earlier this month on a $50 million federal government contract to house illegal aliens at a resort hotel in Weslaco, Texas. Outrage by the American people scuttled the deal before it could be formalized.

While the amount of money to be paid to illegal aliens at the Karnes City facility is small and well below the federal minimum wage, it is still a grave insult to Americans and legal immigrants to pay illegal aliens to stay in the United States on top of giving them better housing and amenities than America’s poor families.

ICE told the press the Karnes City facility will have 532 beds and that the average stay will be 23 days. Many of the rooms called “suites” have been renovated to hold eight illegal aliens. The suites have a private toilet and shower.

Obama Admin Refuses To Scrub US/Africa Leader Summit Despite Ebola Threat

The Obama administration’s Deputy Press Secretary Eric Schultz spoke to reporters Wednesday about the Ebola outbreak in West African nations and its effects on President Obama’s African leaders summit being held in Washington, D.C. next week.

Speaking on Air Force One on a return trip from Kansas City, Missouri, Schultz told a press gaggle that, “In terms of the summit, I would tell you that we’re working closely with regional governments to stem the spread of the virus. We have no plans to change any elements of the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit, as we believe all air travel continues to be safe here.”

Schultz did not specify what steps the government is taking to keep the Ebola virus out of the nation’s capital during the summit.

As the Gateway Pundit was first to report this week, (here, here and here) the Obama administration has invited leaders of around fifty African nations to the summit, including those affected by the virus: Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Guinea. The administration has asked federal workers in the D.C. area to stay home during the summit and to be aware for a possible announcement of a government shut down on short notice.

A Liberian government official, Patrick Sawyer, was killed by the Ebola virus last week after traveling by passenger plane from Liberia to Nigeria via Togo to attend an international conference. Sawyer’s death raised fears that the virus could be spread by international plane travelers like those attending the D.C. summit. Sawyer was a naturalized American citizen who was due to return this month to Minnesota to visit his wife and daughters.

Paul Bedard at the Washington Examiner reports that while leaders of Liberia and Sierra Leone have decided not attend the summit affected nations are sending large delegations and entourages:

“At least one of those leaders attending the Sunday-Wednesday summit, Nigeria’s President Goodluck Jonathan, is bringing a 73-person entourage. Those from Guinea and Liberia are also expected to be large.

“While the travel of the entourages and support staff such as jet crews is naturally raising concerns, the White House tamped down worries and said the summit will go on.”

…”In Liberia, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf said she will stay home but send Vice President Joseph Boakai instead.

“Guinea President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo wants to discuss regional security and energy at the summit.

“Nigeria’s Jonathan had hoped to meet one-on-one with Obama but was turned down.

“And Sierra Leone President Ernest Bai Koroma cancelled his trip so that he could deal with the emergency.”

White House transcript of Schultz’s comments on the summit and Ebola:

Q   Is the President being briefed on the Ebola outbreak in Africa? And will it be addressed at the Africa summit and/or alter the Africa summit in any way?

MR. SCHULTZ: Yes, we continue — well, no, it will not alter the summit, but we do continue to monitor the outbreak of the Ebola virus in Guinea, in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria closely. The President is indeed receiving regular updates, including speaking with his Homeland Security and Counterterrorism Advisor Lisa Monaco as early as yesterday before departing Washington.

The U.S. government, including the Departments of State, Health and Human Services, Centers for Disease Control, USAID and the Department of Defense, continue to provide a range of support and assistance to those countries and multinational organizations responding to the outbreak.

This includes the provision of personal protective equipment and other essential supplies, public health messaging and technical expertise. We’ve actually been engaged in this outbreak since March. Obviously, our response has been ratcheted up in the past few weeks.

Q   Is he aware of the two Americans who have contracted the disease?

MR. SCHULTZ: Yes. And as the CDC has said, this is not a risk to the United States at this time.

Q   I want to ask about that. Is the White House at all worried, though? I mean, the U.K. expressed today concern about the spread of the disease. How worried is the White House and the administration that the virus could make its way to the United States?

MR. SCHULTZ: Roberta, as I said, we are aware of the reports that U.S. citizens have been diagnosed with the virus. We have no higher priority than the protection of U.S. citizens overseas. But again, as the CDC has stated, there’s no significant risk to the United States.

In terms of the summit, I would tell you that we’re working closely with regional governments to stem the spread of the virus. We have no plans to change any elements of the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit, as we believe all air travel continues to be safe here.

Q   Do you know if all the leaders are still going to come? Or will some of them be forced to stay back because of the severity of the situation?

MR. SCHULTZ: Again, I’m responsible for a lot of things; the travel of African leaders is not one of them. So I’d encourage you to check in with them.

The death toll from the current Ebola outbreak is reported now to be well over 700.

One hundred Spanish stars, including Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem, came out and wrote a petition on the side of the Palestinians.

The actors denounced the Israeli “genocide” in “Palestine.”
Via The Hollywood Reporter:

Dozens of Spanish film stars, directors, musicians and writers, led by Oscar winners Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem and Pedro Almodovar, have denounced Israel’s incursion into Gaza.

In an open letter referenced by Europa Press and other Spanish media, they described Israel’s actions as “genocide.”

They also called on the European Union to “condemn the bombing by land, sea and air against the Palestinian civilian population in the Gaza Strip.”

In the open letter, they demanded a cease-fire by the Israeli military and urged Israel to “lift the blockade, which the Gaza Strip has suffered for more than a decade.”

The letter also said: “Gaza is living through horror these days, besieged and attacked by land, sea and air. Palestinians’ homes are being destroyed, they are being denied water, electricity [and] free movement to their hospitals, schools and fields while the international community does nothing.”

Yet it wasn’t that long ago that Dr. Subhi Al-Yaziji, Dean of Koranic Studies at the Islamic University of Gaza, told reporters on Al-Aqsa TV,
“We hope to conquer Andalusia and the Vatican.”

BOMBSHELL! Top Tea Party Lawyer: The More We Learn the More We Know Dems & IRS Colluded to Silence Conservatives (Video)

Posted by Jim Hoft on Thursday, July 31, 2014, 9:24 AM

Top Tea Party attorney Cleta Mitchell dropped this bomb on America’s Newsroom Thursday morning.

“IRS employees have given to 11 of the 18 Democrats on the House Oversight Committee. And, every time there is a hearing on any aspect of this investigation about the IRS targeting, the Democrats come in one by one and say the same thing over and over again. “Let’s shut this down. Let’s shut this down.” And I think we need to hold the Democrats accountable. They were involved in starting this and now they are trying to stop the investigation. And, the more we learn the more we realize how intertwined Lois Lerner was with the Democrats in trying to go after and silence these groups.

Once again…

West Africans Blame Ebola Outbreak on Witchcraft – Kenyans Flee Border With Uganda

Kenyans are fleeing the border with Uganda over fears of contracting the disease.

The News AU reported:

Doctor Benjamin Black, 32, a volunteer with Doctors Without Borders (MSF) in Sierra Leone, told the UK Telegraph that some of those in infected areas were not seeking medical treatment as they thought the disease was the work of sorcerers.

“There is a section of population here who simply don’t believe Ebola is real, they think it is witchcraft and so they don’t come to the treatment centres,” he told the UK Telegraph.

“Sometimes, even those who turn up at clinics with symptoms of the disease will be resistant to the idea that they have it. They will say ‘yes, people in my family have died already, but this is witchcraft rather than Ebola’.”

His alarming comments come after Doctors Without Borders warned that the outbreak is out of control and there are fears it “can only get worse”.
