In less than 25 seconds Rep. Bush defends her personal security cost of $200,000 that she needs because she is doing such tremendous work — and then immediately calls to defund the police without taking a breath.
And she proudly tells you to “suck it up” while she’s at it.
Cori Bush: I’m going to make sure I have security because I know I’ve had attempts on my life. And I have too much work to do. There are too many people who need help right now for me to allow that. So if I end up spending $200,000, if I spend 10 more dollars on it, you know what? So suck it up. And defunding the police has to happen.
