Jussie Smollett Paid Nigerian Brothers $3,500 Before Leaving For Nigeria – Promised Additional $500 Upon Their Return

The Jussie Smollett hate hoax is quickly unraveling.

It was reported Saturday night that the Chicago Police Department is no longer looking at ‘Empire’ star Jussie Smollett as a victim in his alleged assault — but rather an “active participant.”

Smollett has also retained two criminal defense attorneys as his claims about being attacked by “Trump supporters” continues to crumble.

One of Smollett’s high=powered criminal defense lawyers, Michael Monico, also represents Michael Cohen.

Fox reported Saturday afternoon that Chicago police sources confirmed detectives were able to show that the Nigerian brothers who were “persons of interest” and questioned by police, bought the rope found around Jussie Smollett’s neck at Ace hardware.

Now this…

Jussie Smollett paid for the rope — The Nigerian brothers were paid $3,500 before leaving for Nigeria and were promised another $500 as soon as they returned back to the US.

CBS Chicago reported:

Sources say at least one of the brothers bought the rope used in the incident at Smollett’s request. The sources also say the “Empire” actor paid for the rope, which was purchased at the Crafty Beaver Hardware Store the weekend of Jan. 25.

The brothers were paid $3,500 before leaving for Nigeria and were promised an additional $500 upon their return.

The sources say plain red hats worn by the brothers were bought at an Uptown beauty supply store and that the attack was supposed to happen before Jan. 29.

Chicago police are eager to speak to Jussie Smollett “urgently” again.

“We have been in touch with Smollett’s attorneys. We contacted his attorneys last night after interrogation for a meeting. We made our intentions clear.” Police spox Anthony Gugliemi told ABC News.

Jussie Smollett could get up to three years in prison for filing a false police report in the state of Illinois.

Filing a false report to police in the State of Illinois is considered an act of disorderly conduct, which is a Class 4 felony.

That means that anyone found guilty could face between one and three years in prison, reported the Daily Mail.
