Ruth Bader Ginsburg Cancels ANOTHER Public Appearance Following Lung Cancer Surgery

85-year-old Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg canceled a public appearance in New York following her surgical procedure in December to remove cancerous tumors from one her lungs.

This is the second scheduled public appearance Ginsburg has canceled. Ginsburg canceled a planned public appearance in Los Angeles that was set for January 29th.

Ginsburg will not attend a scheduled appearance at a 92Y discussion with Carlyle Group co-CEO and philanthropist David Rubenstein on her career and the state of the nation, reported CNN.

“Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg regrets that she is unable to attend the talk with David Rubenstein at 92Y on February 6,” an email from the 92nd Street Y said. “She is curtailing travel and focusing on her work while recuperating from recent surgery.”

Ruth Bader Ginsburg has missed two consecutive weeks of oral arguments and is reportedly working from home in New York using transcripts and briefs.

A Supreme Court spokesperson said last week that Ginsburg’s recovery is “on track,” however, she is incapacitated to the point she is unable to make public appearances and her ongoing absence from the bench has critics calling for her to respectfully retire.
