Senator Rand Paul tweeted about the arrest moments ago.
Thank you to the US Capitol Police for their arrest of the man who recently threatened to kill my family and me.

The man had allegedly called threats into Paul’s office in Bowling Green on multiple occasions.
Paul mentioned the threats during a speaking event in Litchfield, Kentucky, on Monday.
“Capitol Police have issued an arrest warrant for a man who threatened to kill me and chop up my family with an axe,” Paul said. “It’s just horrendous that we have to deal with things like this.”
The news comes shortly after federal prosecutors announced that they have appealed the 30-day sentence of Paul’s neighbor who attacked him last year.
U.S. Special Attorney Bradley Shepard filed the motion to appeal Rene Boucher’s sentence for the vicious assault, which left Paul with multiple broken ribs, to the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday. Prosecutors had been seeking a 21-month sentence.
We have contacted Senator Paul’s office for a response.
