Mueller’s Dirty Lawyers Obtained Obscure ‘Special Status’ to Pursue Matters Outside of Special Counsel Mandate in Manafort Case

Robert Mueller and his team of liberal hack lawyers know they don’t stand a chance in Judge Ellis’ court so they are running a shady, legal shell game to salvage their case against Paul Manafort.

The Federal Judge overseeing Mueller’s bank fraud case against Paul Manafort is not messing around.

Judge T.S. Ellis lost his temper and blasted prosecutors a couple weeks ago and said he believes Mueller is using the Manafort case to provide material that would lead to Trump’s “prosecution or impeachment”.

Judge Ellis also ordered the government to hand over the unredacted Rosenstein memo.

The Judge told Mueller’s prosecutors, “We don’t want anyone with unfettered power.”

Last Thursday, Robert Mueller’s office begrudgingly gave Judge T.S. Ellis the unredacted Rosenstein memo detailing the Special Counsel’s scope in a sealed court filing.

Mueller knew the day would come he would be challenged by an honest judge so his team of hack lawyers resorted to some dirty tricks in order to stay in control of this case.

Mueller’s lawyers filed for, and obtained an obscure special status giving them dual roles as not only special counsel prosecutors, but also as ‘Special Assistant US Attorneys (SAUSAs) which could make it difficult for Judge Ellis to hand the case over to other prosecutors.

Far left Politico reported:

An obscure special status obtained by several of special counsel Robert Mueller’s attorneys could prevent a judge from ousting Mueller’s lawyers from their role in the prosecution of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort in federal court in Virginia.

Several court filings indicate that when lawyers from Mueller’s office appeared in federal court in Alexandria earlier this year, they did so not only as representative of Mueller’s office but as special assistant United States attorneys (SAUSAs) attached to the United States attorney’s office there.

That designation gives the Mueller prosecutors a kind of dual status that could complicate any attempt by U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis III to try to shift the case to federal prosecutors based in Alexandria–a possibility the judge mentioned on a couple of occasions during a contentious hearing earlier this month.

According to Politico’s reporting, this special status given to Mueller’s lawyers theoretically allows them to rove around and pursue matters outside of the special counsel’s mandate.

“As special assistant U.S. attorneys, they are not confined to the scope the special counsel is acting under,” said Haley White, a North Carolina attorney who wrote a 2015 law review article on the SAUSA phenomenon. “They can potentially have the ability to go outside that scope….They have all the powers and abilities that just a regular U.S. attorney would have.”

At least four of Mueller’s prosecutors have submitted court pleadings indicating they have SAUSA status: Andrew Weissmann, Greg Andres, Kyle Freeny and Scott Meisler.

This could be a huge problem for Manafort being that his legal team is arguing Mueller has gone outside of his scope and abusing his power.

The timing of when these 4 liberal hack lawyers filed for this special status is important; it is unclear at this time when they obtained the dual status.

The first indictment against Paul Manafort in Virginia was obtained on February 18th, 2018, so if the lawyers acquired their SAUSA status before this date, it could pose problems for Manafort’s legal team

Scholars have warned about the dangers of SAUSA status:

However, some scholars have warned of dangers in the SAUSA phenomenon, with U.S. attorneys’ offices blurring lines of responsibility with other entities and sometimes giving local prosecutors an option to avoid the urban jury pools of their local courts. U.S. attorneys seem to make uneven use of the SAUSA arrangement, with some offices rarely, if ever, relying on it and one office reporting more than 50 SAUSAs on its rolls.

The Russia witch hunt needs to be shut down immediately.

Rosenstein and Mueller need to be fully investigated for wasting millions of dollars of taxpayer money on this unconstitutional investigation.
