REVEALED: Senior Obama State Department Official Started Christopher Steele-FBI Alliance

Victoria Nuland, a senior State Department official under Barack Obama, started the Christopher Steele-FBI alliance according to a new book titled ‘Russian Roulette.’

Victoria Nuland was Obama’s former Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian affairs for the State Department.

The Washington Times reported:

A senior Barack Obama State Department official gave the green light to an FBI agent in 2016 to meet with dossier writer Christopher Steele, a meeting that touched off a relationship that would fuel the ongoing investigation into possible Donald Trump-Russia election collusion.

And, the sensational Steele allegation that led to an FBI wiretap on Trump volunteer Carter Page came from “pillow talk” with the lover of a Kremlin official, a new book says.

The disclosure that Victoria Nuland started the process is contained in “Russian Roulette,” a book released Tuesday by Yahoo News report Michael Isikoff and Mother Jones magazine’s David Corn.

Mr. Steele, who was excited over his findings about Mr. Trump supposed dalliance with Russian prostitutes and purported collusion with the Kremlin, pressed his handler, Glenn Simpson, of Fusion GPS, to let him go to the FBI.

Mr. Simpson agreed. Mr. Steele telephoned Michael Gaeta, an FBI agent with whom he worked on soccer corruption who was then stationed at the U.S. Embassy in Rome.“I can’t discuss it over the phone. You have to come here. Believe me, Mike, you have to come to London,” Mr. Steeletold him.

Says “Russian Roulette,” “There were a few hoops Gaeta had to jump through. He was assigned to the U.S. embassy in Rome. The FBI checked with Victoria Nuland’s office at the State Department: Do you support this meeting? Nuland, having found Steele’s reports on Ukraine to have been generally credible, gave the green light.”

“Within a few days, on July 5, Gaeta arrived and headed to Steele’s office near Victoria station. Steele handed him a copy of the report. Gaeta, a seasoned FBI agent, started to read. He turned white. For a while, Gaeta said nothing. Then he remarked, ‘I have to report this to headquarters.’”

The book “Russian Roulette: The Inside Story of Putin’s War on America and Donald Trump’s Election” is written by Yahoo! News’ Michael Isikoff and David Corn of Mother Jones. Both reporters met with Christopher Steele during the election.

Michael Isikoff wrote the Yahoo! News article about Carter Page in September of 2016 which was used as means to corroborate Christopher Steele’s claims Trump’s camp had secret connections to the Kremlin.

David Corn wrote an article about the dossier in Mother Jones in October of 2016 right before the election. He hinted at the dossier and claimed a former spy compiled a series of memos of Trump’s connections to Russia yet never reported on the salacious claims nor did he name Christopher Steele.

Both the House Intel Committee and the Senate Judiciary Committee are investigating how Obama officials promoted the Hillary-funded dossier.

Chairman Nunes just began phase 2 of the House Intel Committee’s investigation into the dossier which includes probing Obama’s State Department officials.

Former Secretary of State John Kerry is officially under investigation according to a new report by investigative journalist Sara Carter.

Republican investigators also have evidence dossier author Christopher Steele met with the FBI on July 5th 2016 which is the EXACT SAME DAY former FBI Director James Comey exonerated Hillary Clinton according to a report by John Solomon.

The 35-page dossier was published in full by Buzzfeed News shortly before Trump’s inauguration.
