On Thursday, Defense Secretary James Mattis welcomed incoming National Security Advisor John Bolton to the Pentagon and the two men shared a hilarious moment together.
“It’s good to finally meet you,” Mattis said to Bolton.
“I heard that you’re actually the devil incarnate and I wanted to meet you.”
As The Washington Examiner reported this week, Mattis dismissed reports that he harbors “reservations or concerns,” about Bolton joining the Trump administration.
“I hope that there are some different worldviews. That’s the normal thing you want, unless you want groupthink,” Mattis told the press.
“We’re going to sit down together. I look forward to working with him. Last time I checked, he’s an American. I can work with an American, OK?”
