Democrat on House Intel Committee Fires Off Ominous Threat Against President Trump Over McCabe Firing

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA), who serves on the House Intelligence Committee, fired off an ominous threat against President Donald Trump early Saturday morning over the firing of former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA).

Swalwell was responding to a midnight tweet by Trump about McCabe’s firing that said, “Andrew McCabe FIRED, a great day for the hard working men and women of the FBI – A great day for Democracy. Sanctimonious James Comey was his boss and made McCabe look like a choirboy. He knew all about the lies and corruption going on at the highest levels of the FBI!”

Swalwell wrote two hours later, “Gloat now, but you will be fired soon. And it’s not going to be done cowardly, as you’ve done to so many who’ve served you. There’s a storm gathering, Mr. President, and it’s going to wipe out you and your corrupt organization all the way down to the studs.”

Swalwell is 37 years old and was elected to Congress in 2012. He is the ranking member on the CIA subcommittee of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Swalwell represents California’s 15th Congressional District located on the East Bay across from San Francisco.
