BREAKING: Trump Issues Order to Ban Most Transgender People From Serving in the Military

On Friday, President Trump issued an order to ban most transgender people from serving in the military.

The White House released a memo filed in the US District Court in Seattle that states, “persons with a history or diagnosis of gender dysphoria – including individuals who the policies state may require substantial medical treatment, including medications and surgery – are disqualified from military service except under limited circumstances.”

Last summer President Trump announced transgender people will no longer be allowed to serve in the United States military.

The previous memo called for a 6 month delay of transgender recruits so Secretary of Defense James Mattis could assess the situation.

After further review from the Pentagon, the Trump administration has moved forward with banning most transgender people from serving in the military.

Transgender people have used their military enrollment as a way to have their sex reassignment surgeries and expensive medication paid for. The military should not be funding transgender surgeries; the military should be used to protect our nation from our enemies.
