STUNNING=> Robert Mueller Deputy Attended Hillary Clinton Election Night Party

Just when you thought special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russia’s alleged interference in the 2016 election could not be staffed with more political bias, another shoe drops. According to the Wall Street Journal, Mueller’s deputy investigator, Andrew Weissmann, attended Hillary Clinton’s election night party in New York City.

Wall Street Journal reports:

Mr. Weissmann also attended Hillary Clinton’s election-night party at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York, according to people familiar with his attendance. At the time, Mr. Weissmann was running the Justice Department’s fraud section, which is a senior career post within the agency. In his current role, Mr. Weissmann has been leading the case against Paul Manafort, the former Trump campaign chairman, and Rick Gates, a campaign aide.

Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton called for Mueller’s investigation to be shut down following the news.

“On top of the @JudicialWatch find that Mueller deputy Andrew Weissman is an anti-Trump partisan, the @WSJ reports today he attended Hillary Clinton’s election night party. @RealDonaldTrumpDOJ needs to shut the Mueller farce down. Mr. Rosenstein should step up or step out,” tweeted Fitton.

In an email obtained by conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch, Andrew Weissmann, special counsel Robert Mueller’s right hand man, praised then-acting attorney general Sally Yates for standing up to President Trump’s travel ban order.

Fox News reports:

The email, obtained by Judicial Watch through a federal lawsuit, shows that on the night of Jan. 30, Andrew Weissmann wrote to Yates under the subject line, “I am so proud.”

He continued, “And in awe. Thank you so much. All my deepest respects.” […]

“Andrew Weisman, a key prosecutor on Robert Mueller’s team, praised Obama DOJ holdover Sally Yates after she lawlessly thwarted President Trump,” he said in a statement. “How much more evidence do we need that the Mueller operation has been irredeemably compromised by anti-Trump partisans?”

Andrew Weissmann, who is on detail from the Criminal Division’s Fraud Section and  served as general counsel at the FBI and as an assistant U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of New York.  — Weissmann donated $2,300 to the Obama Victory Fund in 2008, $2,000 to the DNC in 2006 and at least $2,300 to the Clinton campaign in 2007.
