American Sniper Widow Sends NFL Blistering Letter: ‘You Lost Me’

Taya Kyle is the widow of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, the most lethal sniper in U.S. military history.

Chris Kyle was murdered in February of 2013. He was shot and killed at a shooting range in Texas. Taya was widowed at 38 years old; the couple have two children.

The beautiful Taya Kyle is a Fox News contributor and activist. She wrote a scathing letter to the NFL following the explosion of anthem protests over the weekend.

Taya Kyle originally posted her open letter to the NFL on Facebook at it immediately went viral.

Kyle started off by saying the NFL originally brought Americans of all walks of life together. Americans of all ethnic backgrounds, religions and political beliefs came together with a common love for the sport.

You were doing your part and we were doing ours. We showed up cheering and groaning together to as one. We talked in the concession lines and commiserated and celebrated our team together. Did it ever occur to you that you and we were already a mix of backgrounds, races and religions? We were already living the dream you want, right in front of you.

Kyle then accused the NFL of focusing on division and anger, essentially shattering the message of together we can accomplish great things. She pointed out that the NFL gave Americans two choices–stand with the NFL or stand with the American flag. The NFL should know better than to put Americans in that position. The flag will win every time.

Your desire to focus on division and anger has shattered what many people loved most about the sport. Football was really a metaphor for our ideal world — different backgrounds, talents, political beliefs and histories as one big team with one big goal — to do well, to win, TOGETHER.

You are asking us to abandon what we loved about togetherness and make choices of division. Will we stand with you? Will we stand with our flag? What does it mean? What does it mean if we buy a ticket or NFL gear? What does it mean if we don’t? It is the polar opposite of the easy togetherness we once loved in football.

Taya Kyle then says, “You dear NFL, have taken that. You have lost me here.”

The most scathing part of the letter was at the end when Kyle blasted the players for being on their knees instead of doing hard work.

If you ever want to get off your knees and get to work on building bridges, let me know. I have found screaming about the problems in service marriages or even standing in silence in front of them, hasn’t healed even one of them.

You have a lot of strong guys, I am sure in the off season a lot of them could build some pretty big bridges if they care enough to do the hard work. That would involve getting off their knees and getting to work though. If I can do it while I raise two kids as their only parent and work through the greatest pain of my life, let’s see if they can do it for the issues they say they care so much about.

Go Longhorns and Sic ‘Em …

Sincerely,

Taya

Does the NFL hear Taya Kyle loud and clear? It is the NFL, NOT President Trump who is dividing the nation. The NFL commissioner along with the coaches could have easily put a stop to this nonsense the first time Colin Kaepernick sat down during the anthem back in August of 2016. They chose to allow the protests to spiral out of control.

The American people have absolutely had it with the NFL disrespecting Veterans. Ratings are down and people are cancelling their NFL packages. The numbers don’t lie.
