Lawmaker Wants Disgraced Clinton’s Name Removed From Airport

Arkansas State Senator Jason Rapert wants to have the Clinton’s name removed from the airport in Little Rock, Arkansas, according to a report from Fox News.

Senator Rapert wants the airport renamed because some pilots are not happy about flying into an airport named Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport because of the disgraceful acts committed by Bill Clinton in the Oval Office with Monica Lewinsky.

From Fox News:

“You have a president who was impeached for having an affair with an intern in the Oval Office and then disbarred,” the bill’s author, Sen. Jason Rapert, told Reuters.

President Clinton was impeached by the House of Representatives in 1998. The Senate acquitted him on the charges in 1999.

The bill–which does not name the Clintons by name– would prohibit the “naming of public buildings, structures, airports, or facilities” after anyone living.

The legislation also calls for the ban of naming an airport after an elected official who served in the 10 years “preceding the construction” of the structure.

Rapert also noted that there have been numerous women that have accused Bill Clinton of sexual harassment.

From the Washington Examiner:

Rapert noted that other women have accused Clinton of sexual harassment and should not have to be reminded of it should they visit the facility. “How would you feel if you had to walk through that airport?” Rapert asked.
