Video: Sean Hannity and Geraldo Rivera Egged by Liberal Protesters at Inaugural Ball

Fox News hosts Sean Hannity and Geraldo Rivera were pelted with eggs as they left an inaugural ball in Washington, D.C. Thursday night.

Video of the attack was posted to YouTube by News Heist.

Screen image from News Heist video shows moment egg passed close to head of Sean Hannity.

The video shows Hannity and Rivera emerging walking arm in arm over to a waiting crowd and shaking hands with well wishers outside the Warner Theater in downtown Washington where the Hero’s Ball for veterans and military families and headlined by Bret Michaels was being held.

Eggs start flying with one just missing Hannity’s head that splatters on a marquee window right behind him. Hannity coolly walks away while Rivera stays for a few seconds before Hannity says something to him and then security pulls him away. Police and security then stood around the men in the doorway of the theater.

The Hero’s Ball website described the event as being free for those with direct military ties:

This evening of American Rock and Roll is FREE to active duty military, veterans and Gold Star Families. Two tickets per order please. This event is ADA accessible. Tickets are limited and first come, first serve but please don’t take more than you will use. Black tie optional or festive attire. Partner charities include The Folded Flag Foundation, Guardians for Heroes and the Paralyzed Veterans of America.

Bret Michaels first gained fame as the lead vocalist of the glam metal band Poison who have sold over 45 million records worldwide and 15 million records in the United States alone. The band has also charted ten singles to the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100, including six Top 10 singles and a number-one single, “Every Rose Has Its Thorn”.

Michaels has appeared in several movies and TV shows, including as a judge on the talent show Nashville Star. He starred in the hit VH1 reality show Rock of Love with Bret Michaels and its sequels, then released Rock My World. In 2006, Hit Parader ranked Michaels at #1 on their list of greatest Heavy Metal singers of all-time.”
