Scott Baio to Speak at GOP Convention Monday Night And Was Asked by Trump Personally (VIDEO)

Scott Baio RNC

Actor Scott Baio has been a vocal fan of Donald Trump for months, now he’s going to get a chance to speak on his behalf at the Republican convention.

Here are some details from the Philadelphia Inquirer:

Newest speaker to join Donald Trump at the RNC: Scott Baio?

We knew the political convention to formally nominate Donald Trump as the Republican candidate for president would be untraditional. After all, the candidate himself promised a stage filled with “winners” such as Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and legendary NFL coach Mike Ditka.

Unfortunately, for Trump, everyone from Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and former Indiana coach Bobby Knight reneged. Even former Eagles quarterback Tim Tebow, reportedly confirmed as a speaker by Trump’s campaign, felt the need to publicly disavow his participation with the event, which kicks off tomorrow in Cleveland.

So who is left for Trump to tap? Apparently, Scott Baio.

Here’s how Baio described his meeting of Trump and the invitation:

“I was at a fundraiser for Mr. Trump the other night with my wife, and he invited me to speak at the convention—which was completely unexpected and out of left field. He had given a speech and he was walking out, and I looked at him and I said, ‘Mr. Trump, Scott Baio…,’ and he said, ‘Oh my god!’ And he said to me, ‘Do you want to speak?’ and I said, ‘Here?’ and he goes, ‘No, no, at the convention!’ And I went, ‘Ugh… o…okay.’”
