Former Speaker Newt Gingrich, ex-Sen. Jim DeMint, who now leads the Heritage Foundation, and ex-Rep. Bob Livingston, who now leads a large lobbying firm in Washington, and several members of Congress met with Donald Trump today in Washington DC.
Attendees included: New Gingrich, Jim DeMint, Bob Livingston, Rep. Scott DesJarlais (R-TN), Rep. Chris Collins (R-NY), Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA), Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL), Senator Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) and others.
Former Congressman Bob Livingston, now an influential Republican in DC circles, was among those who attended a meeting with Donald Trump in Washington, D.C. Livingston said he now supports Donald Trump because of the GOP efforts to stop him.
Newt Gingrich spoke with Bill O’Reilly after the meeting.
Gingrich praised Trump’s gut instinct for politics.
Trump also named five people who advise him on foreign policy today. The group is chaired by Sen. Jeff Sessions and includes: Keith Kellogg, Carter Page, George Papadopoulos, Walid Phares and Joseph E. Schmitz, according to the Post.
