In January Senator Ted Cruz openly attacked Donald Trump and his “New York values” at the FOX Business Network debate in South Carolina.
“I think most people know what New York values are… You’re from New York so you might not. But I promise you in the state of South Carolina they do.”
But that was back in January.
Now Ted Cruz needs to secure 87% of remaining delegates to secure the nomination.
So the Cruz camp is suddenly playing nicey-nice with New York voters.
The map turns significantly less friendly though for Cruz in coming months, with very few evangelical and deep red states left to vote. Johnson though is pointing to two April states where they expect to wage war: Wisconsin, where advisers say to expect “a lot of Cruz campaign activity,” and Trump’s delegate-rich homestate of New York.
“If you think we’re ceding New York because Donald Trump hails from Queens and lives in Manhattan, that would be a mistake,” Johnson said.
So, is it Houston values to attack a group of people and then go back and beg them for their vote?
Well, well, well… Look who suddenly needs to play nice with New York values. (https://t.co/mEh8kTk54p) pic.twitter.com/LTmS6DScc2
