Left wing comedian and Bernie Sanders supporter Sarah Silverman, who recently appeared on the Conan O’Brien show dressed as Hitler to make fun of Donald Trump, has released a new video to urge people to vote for Bernie Sanders.
Silverman is a perfect example of why people should ignore celebrities when it comes to politics. She says many stupid and offensive things in the video below but she reaches peak dumb when she tries to allay fears of socialism by suggesting that fire departments are an example of socialism.
Like left wing filmmaker Michael Moore, she tries to argue that socialism is about fairness and equality, completely ignoring the hundreds of millions of people who have died at the hands of socialists throughout history.
Silverman proves beyond a reasonable doubt that she has no understanding of Citizens United or economics as she pushes Bernie’s platform of “free” education and healthcare.
The best part of the video is watching her basically call Hillary Clinton a corrupt creature of American politics. It will be interesting to revisit with Silverman when Hillary ultimately secures the Democratic Party nomination.

Silverman further stated she feels Sanders is running on a platform of “making the untouchably rich accountable for their fair share of taxes,” she said, while admitting: “Yeah, he is a socialist democrat.”
“He just believes that people who don’t have the same advantages as you and me should be given the same advantages as you and me,” she continued. “Good lord, don’t worry! Under President Sanders, you can still become a super-rich asshole. It’s just that your fellow citizens don’t have to feed their children cat food in order for you to do it.”
“Fire fighters? Is that something you like to have around?” she said. “That’s socialism. That’s a socialized program. That’s a program the government pays for so everyone can have it. Not anti-American. In fact, it’s wildly American.”
The government pays for firefighters? That must be news for millions of American taxpayers.

Let’s hope this election puts a stake through the heart of left wing political activism from Hollywood.
Remember, many of the same people who assured us in 2008 that Obama wasn’t a socialist are now trying to tell us why socialism is a great thing. Funny how that works, huh?
