Donald Trump and Jerry Falwell, Jr. dispersed the first proceeds from his ‘Special Event For Veterans’ to the Puppy Jake Foundation.
Trump gave Puppy Jake $100,000 from the $6 million that was raised at his veterans fundraiser this past week in Iowa.
Trump Announces 22 Veterans Groups to Receive $6 Million Raised at Iowa Rally
Trump announced he was donating $1 million on top of $5 million in similar and somewhat smaller sized donations from friends and supporters of Trump, including online donations that brought the total to over $6 million. A website set up by Trump Thursday morning, DonaldTrumpforVets.com to accept online donations stated $570,000 had been raised via the website as of Thursday night. The donations were being collected by the Donald J. Trump Foundation for disbursement to the veterans groups.
Four of the groups are based in Iowa: The Mulberry Street Veterans Shelter, Projects for Patriots, Puppy Jake and Support Siouxland Soldiers.
