Seriously? Hillary Clinton Bashes Donald Trump for Not Defending Obama at Town Hall

Democratic Party presidential candidate Hillary Clinton took to Twitter late Thursday night to attack leading Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump for his failure to defend President Barack Obama and Muslims during a town hall meeting earlier in the evening.

“Donald Trump not denouncing false statements about POTUS & hateful rhetoric about Muslims is disturbing, & just plain wrong. Cut it out. -H”

The tweet was signed with the letter ‘H’ indicating it was from Clinton herself and not a campaign aide.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Trump was holding a town hall meeting in Rochester, New Hampshire Thursday evening.

The first questioner spouted off about Obama and Muslims. Trump didn’t talk down to the man, he rather talked past the question.

Questioner: “…from White Plains, amen, okay…We have a problem in this country called ‘Muslim’. We know our current president is one. You know he’s not even an American–birth certificate.”

Trump, laughed nervously and sarcastically said, “We need this question?…This first question.”

Questioner: “But anyway, we have training camps growing where they want to kill us. That’s my question, when can we get rid of them?”

Trump: “We’re gonna be looking at a lot of different things. And you know a lot of people are saying that. And a lot of people are saying that bad things are happening out there. We’re gonna be looking at that and plenty of other things.”

UPDATE: The Trump campaign spoke to the Washington Post about the incident:

“In an interview late Thursday with The Washington Post, Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski said, “Mr. Trump was asked about training camps. Mr. Trump answered the question and said, ‘If there are any, we will fix it.’ He said, ‘I will look into it.’ The question was specifically about training camps.

“”The media wants to make this issue about Obama. The bigger issue is that Obama is waging a war against Christians in this country. They need support and their religious liberty is at stake,” he added.

“When asked whether Trump agrees with the questioner and believes that President Obama is a Muslim, Lewandowski said, “I don’t speak for Mr. Trump.” He said “it’s up to the media” if they “want to make this about Obama.””
