Border Patrol agents apprehended a convicted murderer crossing the Mexican border into the US near McAllen Station, Texas.
The Mexican national was previously convicted of first degree murder and was deported back to Mexico.

Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended a convicted murderer and rendered assistance to a man who fell while attempting to scale the border fence Monday.
The arrest occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. when agents assigned to the McAllen Station apprehended a man, who is a Mexican national, near McAllen. During processing, records checks revealed the man had been arrested by the Donna Police Department and convicted of first degree murder. He had also been previously deported from the United States. The man was referred to the Rio Grande Valley Sector Prosecutions Office.
Simultaneously, agents from the Weslaco Station discovered an injured man from El Salvador who had fallen while attempting to climb over the border fence near Progreso. Agents transported the man to a local hospital where he was diagnosed with a fractured vertebra. The man will be processed for removal once he is medically cleared.
