St. Louis Rapper Nelly Busted in Tennessee on Felony Drug Charges (VIDEO)

St. Louis rapper Nelly was arrested in Tennessee and booked on drug charges including possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.

The rapper is a health fitness nut so the drugs may not have been his own.
FOX2Now reported:

Rapper Cornell Haynes, 40, commonly known by his stage name “Nelly” has been charged with felony drug possession after his bus was stopped for not having the correct ID stickers in Tennessee. Troopers noticed the smell of marijuana when they stopped the bus at around 9:20am on Saturday on Interstate 40.

The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security says they found a plastic bag containing five colored crystal-type rocks that tested positive for methamphetamine. Troopers also found a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Several handguns were also found including a gold-plated 50-caliber Desert Eagle pistol.

Brian Jones, 44, of St. Louis was charged with being a felon in possession of a handgun. Four others on the bus were not charged.

The bus was believed to be traveling to Nelly’s hometown of St. Louis.

The rapper and Jones were taken to the Putnam County Jail. The Putnam County Sheriff’s office says Nelly’s bond amount was $10,000. They have already made bond.

Nelly and his entourage were arrested in Texas in 2012 with large quantities of heroin and marijuana on board.
