CNN reporter Miguel Marquez reported all afternoon and evening on the ground in Baltimore about the riots on Monday.
In one report he let slip the elitist view journalists have of everyday America. Usually this bias is represented in the elitist attitude toward ‘flyover country’ but this was a case of elitism toward inner city living.

“…Very few fresh, fresh fruits, fresh vegetables. I saw fresh fruit carts in this neighborhood that are horse drawn. I mean this is not a typical neighborhood. It is shocking to me that we live in New York and in Washington and in nice areas of Baltimore and in this pocket it’s just, it’s another world it’s literally like another country in this neighborhood. And the people here…”
