Sharyl Attkisson joined Steve Malzberg on NewsMax TV to discuss the Brian Williams’ reporting scandals. Sharyl also pointed out how Brian Williams and Hillary Clinton did the same thing.
Once she knew that we had a video is beyond me why she continued to tell the tale. We showed the video that she landed on the runway, stood there for seconds, later visited with the troops. Took photographs with them. There was no apparent danger to us. There was no mention of it. There was no corkscrew landing. There was no sniper fire. So, you kind of wonder in both instances there were so many other people who knew this wasn’t true, how they got away so long with telling the story. How they thought they would get away with this without somebody coming to them saying, “That didn’t happen.” …To me part of the irony is, if Brian Williams isn’t able to survive it… And yet we didn’t care as much with somebody who became our Secretary of State. Is it really more important that Brian Williams has a certain character and honesty that a presidential candidate or Secretary of State?
Sharyl also announced that Hillary Clinton is on a witness list for the House Select Committee on Benghazi.
