POLICE WOMAN Identified in Paris Shooting – May Not Be Linked to Terror Attack

Female police officer Clarissa Jean-Philippe was shot and killed this morning in a Paris suburb.

She was the third officer shot and killed in the last two days in Paris.

A traffic accident turned deadly in Montrouge (Hauts-de-Seine), on Thursday morning. Municipal police officer, Clarissa Jean-Philippe, was killed in a shooting in which another municipal officer was also injured after she was called to the collision.

The main suspect is on the run. A police operation is underway in Montrouge. The anti-terrorism section of the Paris prosecutor took up the investigation “given the current context and deliberate nature of an act against the security forces” heavy armament is being used in the operation.
