On Sunday over 40 world leaders attended the Unity March in Paris against terrorism.
Leaders from France, Germany, Britain, Israel, Jordan, Denmark, Ukraine, etc. attended the march.
Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas was invited personally by French President Hollande after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that he was attending the march and rally.
On Monday liberal talker Jon Stewart bashed Israel for participating in the march… But not the Palestinian leader(?)
Israel is the only free society in the Middle East.
Palestinian journalists have been frequently targeted by Palestinian Authority security forces for posting critical remarks on Facebook or for writing stories that reflect negatively on Mahmoud Abbas and other Palestinian officials.
From Jon Stewart’s Monday monologue:
“How could the U.S. not be there, when representatives of such beacons of freedom and lack of censorship as journalist-punishing Russia was there?” Stewart asked. “Journalist-jailing Turkey was there. Egypt — ’nuff said. Palestinian cartoonist-jailing Israel was there. And of course, our greatest ally, Saudi Arabia, was there — although a little out of breath, having just days ago flogged a blogger.”
