TERROR IN EAST PARIS: Armed Man Takes Hostages at Paris Deli – Two Dead

There is a second hostage situation in Paris today.
This is separate from the standoff with the Kouachi brothers.
At least five hostages are being held at a Kosher store-deli in East Paris.

The man is reportedly a friend of the Kouachi brothers.

CNN reported that a man and woman are involved in the attack: A man and a woman who are believed to be armed and dangerous are suspected in Thursday’s deadly shooting of a policewoman in the Paris suburb of Montrouge, French police said. Authorities released photos of the two — Amedy Coulibaly, 32 and Hayat Boumeddiene, 26 — being sought by authorities.

A second round of gunfire has broken out in eastern Paris, where an armed man has killed two people and taken hostages at a kosher grocery, according to reports.

The standoff Friday afternoon comes as police have surrounded terror brothers Said and Cherif Kouachi, two Al Qaeda in Yemen linked militants suspected to have carried out the deadly attack Wednesday that left 12 dead at the offices of satirical French magazine Charlie Hebdo.

At least two people have been killed.

The hostage taker is responsible for the murder of Paris policewoman on Thursday.

Female police officer Clarissa Jean-Philippe was shot and killed in a Paris suburb during a traffic accident.

She was the third officer shot and killed in the last two days in Paris.

A traffic accident turned deadly in Montrouge (Hauts-de-Seine), on Thursday morning. Municipal police officer, Clarissa Jean-Philippe, was killed in a shooting in which another municipal officer was also injured after she was called to the collision.

The main suspect is on the run. A police operation is underway in Montrouge. The anti-terrorism section of the Paris prosecutor took up the investigation “given the current context and deliberate nature of an act against the security forces” heavy armament is being used in the operation.
