Guidance Counselor Suspended After Threatening to Shoot Protesters on Facebook
A Central Bucks West guidance counselor was suspended after posting death threats against Mike Brown die-in protesters on Facebook.
CBS Local reported:
The Central Bucks School District is investigating whether one of its guidance counselors posted threats against protesters at yesterday’s “die-in” after the Eagles’ game.
A Facebook post went viral before yesterday’s Eagles’ game. The poster identified herself as a Central Bucks West guidance counselor, and the message read, “If my child cannot get to the Eagles game due to protesters, I will personally SHOOT every one of them. You’ve been warned idiots!!”
A statement from Central Bucks schools superintendent David Weitzel says the school district has begun an investigation, including verification of the source of the post, and will take appropriate action once it learns all the facts.
The counselor, a resident of Upper Gwynedd, has been suspended with pay. The school district also notified law enforecement officials and says it is working with them as they investigate this incident.
The Facebook profile of the woman claiming to be the guidance councilor has been deleted.
The counselor said her kid “might have gotten hold of my iPad.”
