Free trade is terrorism” reads one sign, as greenies demanding that politicians stop “climate change” and the Trans Pacific Partnership bundle up in their coats and hats as winter weather hits Portland, with highs in the 40’s and lows in the 20’s, 10-15 degrees lower than normal. The obligatory megaphone is effect, as over-caffeinated teenagers shout chants through it, and were even treated to a performance by the Raging Grannies.
The protestors march into Congresscum Earl Blumanauer’s office while chanting through the halls. They later march to Senator Ron Wyden’s office, where they are stopped short by DHS. Other signs read “Living The American -Dream- Nightmare” and “Trade Isn’t Free”, along with a pile of union provided astroturf signs. After the protest, one of Blumanure’s staffers runs into me on the sidewalk, and I razz him about how the “global warming” is really getting us.”
