SECOND ST. LOUIS POLICE OFFICER SHOT in Drive-By Shooting Near Ferguson

Police are still searching for the suspects in a black sedan.

Scene on Interstate 70 where a St. Louis city police officer was reportedly shot on Saturday night.

A second off-duty police officer was shot at Saturday night while driving on Interstate 70 north of St. Louis near Ferguson, Missouri.
A car with three assailants shot at the officer as they passed him on the interstate. I-70 was shut down near Lambert airport after the shooting.
KMOV reported:

St. Louis County Police confirmed early Sunday morning that an off-duty St. Louis City officer was shot while in a personal vehicle along westbound I-70 between Hanley and 170.

According to authorities, the officer was in the right lane when a passing vehicle with an unknown number of suspects began firing at the officer’s vehicle.

Police say the officer’s car was struck but the officer did not sustain any gunshot wounds. He was injured by broken glass and was taken to a hospital.

The officer was hit by glass and suffered injuries to his arm.
