COBBLE HILL — A film shoot for a comedy starring Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro turned into a crime scene last week after about $15,000 worth of Apple products were stolen from set, according to police and the film’s production office.

More than a dozen iPads, iPhones, iPad Minis and MacBook Pros were swiped from the set of “The Intern” at Cheever Place and Degraw Street between 2 p.m. on Sept. 2 and 10 a.m. on Sept. 3, officials said.

Likely the electronics were stolen from on-site production wagons like the one pictured below.

$15,000.00 worth of equipment could easily be found in one or more of these production vehicles on any large budget film like “The Intern” but walking off with it requires chutzpah, or inside help.

No word on if any of the stolen items belonged to Robert De Niro or Anne Hathaway, but if Joe Pesci starts getting prank “You talk’n to me??” phone calls, we’ll know.
