On Wednesday, Congressman Jason Chaffetz broke the the story that four known terrorists were apprehended at the US border in Texas on September 10th – the day before the 13th anniversary of the 9-11 attacks.
Chaffetz questioned Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson earlier Wednesday on whether he was “aware of any apprehensions of suspected or known terrorists” on the border.
Johnson dodged the question.
Rep. Chaffetz told Megyn Kelly on Wednesday night there were four terrorists arrested crossing the US border in Texas on September 10.
“There were actually four individuals trying to cross through the Texas border, who were apprehended at two different stations, that do have ties to known terrorist organizations in the Middle East.”
On Friday, Rep. Jason Chaffetz spoke at the annual Eagle Forum in St. Louis, Missouri. Chaffetz told the audience.
“Ladies and gentlemen, it’s true. It’s true. It did happen. They’re still being detained. I can’t give you any more details. There are things that our intelligence agencies have to do to try and figure out some things. The men and women who serve on our borders they have an incredible job.”
After his speech Rep. Chaffetz told The Gateway Pundit that he could not say anything more about the terrorist bust at this time. Congressman Chaffetz did say they were still being detained.
