Hilarity ensued as five gun hating liberals were taken to a firing range to shoot guns for the first time in their lives.
“Maybe the right to bear arms was something that was necessary at the time — (now) it’s an antiquated thing,” said Allison before entering the range.
Under the supervision gun club staff, participants were given a 9mn Beretta and then a shotgun to fire at a human shaped target.
“Never in my whole life did I think I’d shoot a shotgun,” said participant Hillary adding, “it smells like firecrackers.”
Reactions among the group were mixed. Abe, the video’s only male participant, said cocking the shotgun made him feel, “kinda bad ass” but was not swayed on gun control.
“I think if all guns were in this controlled environment in the LA gun club, that would be fine, but that is not the real world,” said Abe.
Others left the range feeling conflicted by the experience.
“It was kinda enjoyable, but then I was getting sickened by me feeling enjoyable about it,” said an emotionally distraught Daysha.
“Even though its fucked up and I feel confused and conflicted about it all, I would probably come back and do it again,” said Allison.
Despite the fact that none of the video’s participants left the range converted, it would be interesting to see how many of these LA hipsters would change their minds about guns after a home invasion.
