Ben Rhodes, the current deputy national security adviser for strategic communication for U.S. President Barack Obama, went on CNN yesterday discuss the Israel-Hamas war. Rhodes said Israel could do more to avoid civilian deaths.
“At the same time we think Israel can do more to avoid the types of civilian casualties that we’ve seen in recent days. We’ve been heartbroken at the loss of Palestinian life, the loss of children. So we do believe that Israel has to take greater care to avoid those types of civilian casualties… Again, Israel has a right to defend itself but as it does it needs to take care to avoid the type of tragic civilian casualties that we’ve seen.”
So why is Wolf Blitzer asking the question “Has ISRAEL gone too far?”
Why isn’t Blitzer asking the question: “Has HAMAS gone too far?”
Today the IDF attacked targets in the Al-Wafa Hospital compound in Gaza after Hamas militants repeatedly fired at Israeli forces from within the compound.
