Obama is enjoying a golf weekend in California.

President Barack Obama is taking a long Fathers Day weekend vacation in California this weekend with wife Michelle but not their daughters.

Sasha and Malia Obama were nowhere to be seen when the President and First Lady deplaned at Palm Springs International Airport Friday evening according to media reports including the Orange County Register.

Other reporters speculated that the First Daughters may fly in separately.

The Obama are reported to be staying at the luxury estate of U.S. Ambassador to Spain James Costos and his partner White House Decorator Michael S. Smith.

Obama is scheduled on Saturday to attend a Democratic Party fundraiser and give the commencement address for UC Irvine. He is set return to the White House on Monday.

Before he left on Friday, Obama said he would need time to decide what to do about the situation in Iraq as the Sunni terrorist group ISIS advanced on the Iraqi capital Baghdad.

Sasha Obama turned 13 years old on Thursday. Sister Malia is 15. Perhaps, like most teenagers, the Obama girls didn’t want to be stuck with their parents on a long weekend away from their friends.
